The Crocodile River forms a natural boundary between Marloth Park and the Kruger National Park that lends itself to excellent game viewing opportunities. Herds of elephant playing in the river is an all too common sighting.

Lion and buffalo are second on the list and you are bound come across a couple of the Big Five as well as plentiful wildlife frequenting the river.

Join one of our highly experienced and qualified guides on an open vehicle Sunset Game Drive along the Crocodile River within Marloth Park.

Guests are welcome to take their own picnic baskets as the guide will stop along the way at lookout points and at the �Pavillion� where sundowners can be enjoyed whilst watching the spectacular sunset and wildlife.

Our Sunset Game Drive along the Crocodile River within Marloth Park start at 16:00 You will be picked up at your accommodation within Marloth Park.

Duration of drive is approximately 2.5 hours.

Experience the Legendary Kruger National Park, home to the magnificent Big Five , and a host of other including 147 species of mammals, and over 500 bird species. Our tour into this famous reserve is in a specially modified open Safari vehicle. Both to enhance your game viewing and to provide the finest vantage points for photography and bird watching.

There is little between you and your subjects! Our qualified experienced guides will undoubtedly enhance the experience by their deep understanding of the bush and the movement and identification of animals and birds, something they will impart to you. You’ll not only relish the experience of being in the Kruger environment, but you’ll leave with gems of info you’d never have known before.

Our Early Morning Kruger Park Game drive / safari drive is famous for amazing sightings of predators and prey animals of Kruger National Park as they enter the new day.

Our knowledgeable guides are great at interpreting all the animal behaviors you see.
We enter the park at around 05h30 in summer and a little bit later during winter and spend the entire morning driving (approximately 5 hours) in search of all things wild and wonderful.

The safari drive typically start from Crocodile Bridge entrance after guests are picked up from their accommodation within Marloth Park.

Although it can never be guaranteed, we often see the Big 5 on on this drive.

Join one of our highly experienced and qualified guides on a game drive / safari drive in the world renowned, nearly 2 million hectares Kruger National Park in search of the legendary Big5 and other magnificent creatures.
Let one of our guides be your interpreter of the Kruger Park flora and fauna.

We enter the park at around 05h30 in summer and a little bit later during winter and spend the entire morning driving in search of all things wild and wonderful.

Our Full day Kruger Park safari drives (approximately 10 hours) typically start from Crocodile Bridge entrance after guests are picked up from their accommodation within Marloth Park.

It is not uncommon to see the big 5 in a Full Day Kruger Park Game Drive although it can never be guaranteed.

On with your boots, we’re going walking deep into African bush at Sunrise.

Accompanied by two knowledgeable, armed Bush trackers, we set off quietly to follow the spoor of game, learning about their movements and significance of certain marks or sounds.

We learn how to identify plants and birds too. It’s a glorious morning, with the opportunity of seeing wildlife up close, as well as honing our tracking skills.

Experience the smaller less noticeable wonders of the bush rarely seen from a vehicle as well as a chance to spot the Big Five on foot.

This is an incredible experience that few of us have had the privilege to partake in and if you are capable of a two to three hour walk this is a must do.

Whilst the majority of people will never have the opportunity to come close or even touch these animals, you have the once in a lifetime chance to do an Elephant Back Safari.

A half an hour interaction which includes touching, feeling and feeding the elephants and then a 30 minutes Elephant Back Safari through the bush in a 70 ha non-Big 5 area and again you might come across some sightings of wildebeest,
kudu, zebras, impala and warthogs.

Our Private Game Reserve is one of a very few private game reserves in South Africa that offer low altitude flights above a safari environment. This spectacular experience offers an exceptionally panoramic and unobstructed view of a big game and wilderness area.

Our 30 minute flight takes you down to the Crocodile river bordering the Kruger National Park with a good chance to spot some of the big five during the flight. The flight along the river is a truly incredible experience game viewing from the sky with an unbelievable view

Be sure to bring along a camera as there are many excellent photographic opportunities.

Both beginner and intermediate riders of all ages are welcome.

Horse trails wind through the non Big five reserve and indigenous bush passing rocky outcrops, river beds and exceptionally scenic terrain. You are likely to see antelope, giraffe, impala, zebra, waterbuck, wildebeest and sometimes herds of wild elephant.

Small groups of only six ride with the professional supervision of the dedicated team of staff whose extensive experience guarantee you a very enjoyable time. Their passion for nature, conservation and the environment, and their involvement in the management of the game reserve make for fascinating discussions and stories.

Your guides will greatly enhance your experience with their deep understanding of the bush and wildlife.

Take part in the nocturnal activities of Kruger’s secretive creatures.

In that time you’ll be driven around the park in an open-sided safari vehicle. It will be the only vehicle on the road after dark!

It’s quite amazing and sometimes daunting to think about the reality of the situation – one 4×4 vehicle in the midst of a park bigger than some countries with wild animals lurking in the darkness out there!

It’s not possible to drive yourself around the park at night and because the vehicle you’re in is the only one on the road, you’ll come across an unusual array of animals which have settled, undisturbed, in the middle of the road.

The game drives here are part of what is known as the “Southern Circle” which has a reputation for good lion-spotting. Several prides operate in this area, each with its own distinct hunting techniques and behavior patterns.

On night drives, a Kruger Park game ranger drives you around and provides very interesting commentary about the vegetation and animals that you come across.

The ranger will help identify any animal that you see. You’ll come across a good selection of nocturnal animals during the drive, such as nightjars, servals, African wild cats, springhares and owls.
What you actually see depends on the vegetation in the particular part of the park that you’re in and what crosses your path at the time.

You won’t just see nocturnal animals on a night drive though. You could see any type of animal.
Quad Biking

A fun filled experience for the whole family. Enjoy the bushveld on a quiet ride among wild animals or seek some adventure on the obstacle course. Kids of all ages are welcome even if they can’t operate the quad bike themselves they can go along on the ride at the back of the quad bike.

Don’t feel like driving ? You can be a passenger with a partner.

Quad biking is an adrenaline filled adventure that is not hard to master. It is a guided trail ride that runs through the most scenic Majejane Reserve. The trails lead down to the Crocodile River bordering the Kruger National Park and vary from technical to easy to accommodate the novice and experienced riders.

It’s a great family activity. You can bring along soft drinks. Safety gear will be provided. Remember to bring along a jacket on the colder days .
The duration is 1hour self-drive accompanied by an experienced rider.

Tswale and Modjadji are the two elephants you will meet , being so close to these enormous animals and experiencing their gentle nature will leave you with unforgettable memories and a new appreciation for the biggest land animal on earth.

Spend 30 minutes getting to know them up close and personal. Bring your camera to capture this moment in time.

Imagination runs wild with classic scenes of a copper sun sinking low, painting the sky with all its glory and kissing the ancient land good night. To Safari over sunset is to watch an alternative world come to life and share in its secret splendor.

Approximately four hour drive within the Kruger National Park from just before sunset until after dark.

Explore the Kruger National Park as you drive into the night looking for the nocturnal wildlife as they start to emerge rarely seen by many for visitors are not allowed to drive by themselves in the Kruger Park after sunset.

Kruger National Park sunset and night drives are your best opportunity to spot leopard , often the missing Big five member on your game viewing list.
Tiger Fishing

Tiger Fishing
Tiger fish are ferocious and aggressive apex predators, and are a hard fighting freshwater game fish. An awesome fish to catch on light tackle and fly fishing equipment.

The Komati river close to Marloth Park is one of the few places you can catch tiger fish in South Africa and the best way to do this is from a boat. Spend a couple of hours on the water with an experienced fisherman that has been fishing these waters for years. Even if you are a novice your guide has all the experience onboard that you will need.

Simply jump on the boat , all equipment , tackle and bait is provided. The river doesn’t only host the tigers but has an array of fish species tthat you will be targeting. Now you don’t need to leave the country to catch a Tiger Fish you can do this while visiting Marloth Park.

Looking for things to do in Marloth Park , Tiger Fishing comes highly recommended.
Sundowner boat cruise

Visitors to Marloth Park and Komatipoort area that are looking for things to do are invited to enjoy a three-hour sundowner boat cruise on the Komati river taking in the scenery and sounds of the river as the sun sets.

The Komati River is inhabited by crocodiles and pods of hippo that makes for some exciting but safe game viewing on the boat cruise. Our barge has braai facilities onboard and we will supply the charcoal if you want to make a meal of it.

Sit back and relax as we cruise up the river ending the day with a sundowner on the water.

Early morning sunrise game drive. Join us before the sun rises on an open vehicle within the Kruger National Park.

Marloth park is all about wildlife and the best place to see them is along the Crocodile River which forms the border between Marloth Park and the Kruger National Park.

You may use your own vehicle to drive along the river and simply enjoy the scenery. Download the Marloth Park map to plot your own game drive route.

Mountain bikingMarloth Park has an almost inexhaustible network of dirt roads for the avid mountain biker. We do not supply mountain bikes but if you have your own bring it along for a ride amongst our wildlife.

Marloth has an abundance of its own wildlife that roam freely between the units. By simply relaxing at your unit you are sure to have a visitor or two appearing from the bush so you don’t need to even go look for them the wildlife in Marloth Park come find you.
Take a walk

With the dangerous game fenced off in either the Kruger Park or Lion Spruit it is safe to take a walk next to the river or basically anywhere in Marloth Park to spot the game on foot or to spot that illusive bird.

Self-drive to Kruger

Self-drive to KrugerCrocodile is Bridge Gate is the nearest entry point into Kruger approximately 14 kilometers from Marloth Park using your own vehicle to drive in the Kruger Park. Check on entry fees and gate times before setting off.

Malelane gate is the second option approximately 35 kilometers from Marloth Park.
